Today, people are facing the problem of infertility in quite a numbers and this is where the couple faces the problem of experiencing the phase of parenthood. Reproduction is a very simple and natural experience for any couples, but due to some conditions, few couples find it very difficult to conceive. There may be several reasons and one of this is male infertility. Man’s fertility mainly relies on the quantity and quality of his sperm. Besides, if the number of sperm ejaculates is low or if the sperm quality is poor, it would be difficult to cause a pregnancy.
Male infertility can be diagnosed after testing both the partners and their reproductive problems. Though infertility is a widespread problem, only one in five infertile couples a male partner is found to be the cause of this problem. It is also studied that one in 20 men has been found with some kind of fertility problem and that is with low numbers of sperm in his ejaculate.
In most of the cases, there might not be any obvious signs of infertility. The only issue may be with the quantity and the appearance of the ejaculated semen. Though generally from the appearance one might find the semen to be normal to the naked eye. But, a medical test can find out if a man is infertile. There can be different causes of male infertility and usually the main cause can be either sperm production or sperm transport. It is by getting a medical test the doctor might be able to find the actual cause of the problem.
It is about two-thirds of infertile men that have this problem with making sperm in the testes. The problem can be either due to low numbers of sperm or the sperm that are being made do not work properly. Blockages in the tubes can also be the reason that leads sperm away from the testes to the penis. This can cause a complete lack of sperm in the ejaculated semen.
